The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) will soon release the revised results of the sports list (sports) in the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) after an official letter was issued by the Government.

The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Erick Thohir, said that the revision of the sports list was actually good, but still needed some improvements before it was officially launched.

"I will announce the letter later, yes, because this will enter an elite program where the Government will provide funding like the one in the UK," said Erick in Jakarta.

The Minister of Youth and Sports has so far signed cooperation with a number of related parties in the process of revising DBON sports, such as the Attorney General's Office and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

Erick said that the cooperation was carried out to equalize perceptions related to the use of state money to make it more transparent and have clear benchmarks in the development of national sports achievements.

"The problem is, each sport will require different funding from the target, which is certainly different. That's what we will do," he said.

In today's DBON, there are 17 leading sports. The sports are athletics, archery, bicycles, rowing, gymnastics, weightlifting, badminton, taekwondo, karate, wushu, rock climbing, shooting, pencak silat, swimming, football, basketball, and volleyball.

Erick emphasized that the leading sports that entered DBON still had to work hard to maintain their achievements because there would be a promotion and relegation system.

"Later there will be the same evaluation as today's SEA Games, we will all issue it, but there will be an evaluation," he said.

DBON is the 2021-2045 Long-Term Sports Development program. This design was formed with the aim of creating an effective sports coaching system and improving national sports achievements.
