Syed Modi India 2025: 3 Indonesian Representatives Get Second Round Tickets

Mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Bernadine Anindya Wardana in the first round of Syed Modi India International 2025 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Three of the four Indonesian representatives who appeared in BWF Super 300 Syed Modi India International 2025 managed to secure a ticket to the second half.

The series of first-half matches at BBD UP Badminton Academy, Lucknow, India, were completed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, WIB night. Indonesia managed to add two tickets on the second day of the tournament.

The two additional tickets were obtained by mixed doubles Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata and Dejan Ferdinansyah/Bernadine Anindya Wardana.

Dejan/Bernadine first confirmed the ticket to the second half. The eighth seed passed after stopping Dhiren Ayyappan/Taabia Khan from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a score of 21-16 and 21-9.

In the second round, Thursday, November 27, 2025, Dejan/Bernadine will meet the representative host Mithileish P Krishnan/Varna Prabhuand, who received tickets thanks to defeating compatriot Rohith Mohankumar/Riduvarshini Ramasamy.

Meanwhile, Marwan/Aisyah as the fourth seed in this tournament followed in guarding their dreams after stopping representatives from Malaysia, Low Han Chen/Chan Wen Tse, in a battle between two straight games 22-20 and 21-12.

Previously, on the first day, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, a ticket for the second half for Indonesia had already been secured by the pair Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine.

The pair stopped Australian representative Laudya Chelsea Griselda/Nozomi Shimizu, and will meet third seed from China Taipei, Sung Shuo Yun/Yu Chien Hui, in the second half.

The only Indonesian representatives who have returned home in the first round are the women's doubles Siti Sarah Azzahra/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani. The pair lost against sixth seed from Turkey, Bengisu Ercetin/Nazlican Inci.
