Persib Coach Prepares Brave Strategy Against Lion City Sailors

Persib coach, Bojan Hodak, has prepared a strategy to fight for three points at Lion City Sailors headquarters (doc. Persib).

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung will face Lion City Sailors in the fifth match of Group G AFC Champions League Two (Liga Champions Asia 2). Ahead of Wednesday's match, November 26, 2025, that night, Bojan Hodak as coach of Maung Bandung will escort the team and implement a bold strategy.

This meeting is a crucial moment because Persib actually only needs one additional point to win the knockout ticket. However, Bojan did not want to come to Singapore with a basic target.

According to the Croatian coach, if his team is only looking for one point, it has the potential to make the team careless. Therefore, he targets to pick up three points in the match later.

"If we only pursue one point, we can actually be in danger. We prefer to look for victory because that has made us consistent so far," said Bojan Hodak during a press conference before the match, quoted from an official release, Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Bojan Hodak's optimism is not without reason. He reflected on the team's performance which was on a slick path with seven unbeaten records in all the events played.

The last victory over Dewa United in the 2025/2026 Super League has further strengthened the confidence of the Maung Bandung squad. Moreover, Hodak saw names like Eliano Reijnders to Marc Klok showing significant developments, both in aggressiveness and game consistency.

"The team is in high self-confidence. Seven consecutive wins are clearly important capital," he said.

In addition to confidence, Bojan Hodak did not turn a blind eye that Lion City Sailors was not an opponent that could be taken lightly. Their status as finalists last season made this match feel tougher.

"Every game will certainly have a bigger challenge because we will play against last season's finalists. This will be a difficult match," he said.
