JAKARTA The General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Central Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (DPP Perbasi), Budisatrio Dwijandono, officially inaugurated nine regional administrators simultaneously.

The inauguration ceremony for the Perbasi DPD (Regional Management Board) management took place at Wisma Kemenpora, Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, November 21, 2025. Also attending this event was Menpora Erick Thohir and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat.

Budisatrio said that this inauguration was accelerated so that regional administrators could work to carry out federation programs, especially the preparation of roadmaps (roadmaps) for basketball in the future.

"I am certainly grateful that this was accompanied by the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, to encourage us. Hopefully this inauguration will be an encouragement for friends in the regions to carry out their duties and responsibilities," he said.

The nine Perbasi DPDs inaugurated were Bangka Belitung Islands, Maluku, West Sumatra, Riau Islands, Southeast Sulawesi, Central Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Papua, and Riau.

Also present at the inauguration were Deputy General Chairperson for the Sumatra zone Ronny Yenes; Sulawesi, NTT, and NTB zone Mohammad Salahuddin; and the Papua-Maluku Kelvin Winata zone. This moment was also attended by administrators in their respective regions virtually.

Budisatrio reminded regional administrators that there are many Perbasi programs that are ready to be faced in the future, especially Indonesia has the trust to host the Asian championship and the world of young age.

"Our job is to prepare so many of these events and so large. Of course we have to first look for the talents of outstanding young athletes," he said.

A number of solid agendas will be faced by Indonesia in the next two or three years, such as hosting FIBA U-16 Women's Asia Cup 2027 and FIBA U-18 Asia Cup 2028.

In addition, Indonesia won the trust to host the Basketball World Cup. Other important agendas are FIBA Women's U-17 Basketball World Cup 2028 and FIBA U-19 Basketball World Cup 2029.
