Ancelotti Apologizes To Arsenal For Gabriel's Injury In Brazil Vs Senegal Match

JAKARTA - Brazil's 2-0 win over Senegal in a friendly match at London Stadium, Saturday 15 November had to be paid dearly with Gabriel's injury. The center-back had to be pulled out in the 64th minute after suffering an injury to his groin area.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti regretted this and he apologized to Arsenal because the player had to be sidelined due to his injury. Gabriel was one of the main pillars in Arsenal's impressive performance at the start of the season.

"We are very sorry for Gabriel's injury. I am very disappointed. I hope they can recover well soon," said Ancelotti after the match.

Ancelotti admitted that so far he did not know how severe Gabriel's injury was.

"Parah? I don't know yet. He has a problem with the muscles of the educator and will undergo an examination by the medical team. We are very sorry and disappointed when the player is injured. Hopefully he can recover well and return to play soon," added Ancelotti.

Arsenal are now facing the potential loss of two defenders at once. Apart from Gabriel, left-back Riccardo Calafiori is also doubtful about appearing at the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur after leaving the Italian national team training camp early.
