Estimating Patrick Kluivert's Salary When Handling The Indonesian National Team

JAKARTA - Patrick Kluivert was officially removed from his position as coach of the Indonesian national team by PSSI on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Since training the Garuda Squad in January 2025, the federation has never revealed the amount of the coach's salary.

Now when his status is no longer a coach, there is speculation about Kluiver's salary. Some estimate that the salaries of coaches from the Netherlands ranged above Rp. 1 billion to exceed Rp. 2 billion.

Reporting from Antara, Kluivers are said to get a salary of around Rp. 1.3 to Rp. 1.5 billion per month or Rp. 18 billion per year.

With a two-year contract, the figure who has coached the Curacao National Team is predicted to receive input of Rp36 billion.

A number of speculations also say that Kluivers earn IDR 2.3 billion per month for cases involving Turkish clubs.

According to Turkish sports media, clubs previously trained by Kluivers were sanctioned by FIFA in the form of a three-term transfer ban. The reason is that the club has not paid off debts of 142 thousand euros or IDR 2.3 billion to Kluiver.

Apart from the estimates about the salary that Kluiver received while defending the Indonesian national team, PSSI's decision also did not only end the collaboration with the former Barcelona player, but also the coaching team from the other Netherlands.

"The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) coaching team have officially agreed to end the cooperation early through the mutual term mechanism."

"This agreement was signed between PSSI and the Parties in the coaching team, which was previously bound by a two-year cooperation contract."

"The termination of this cooperation was carried out on the basis of the approval of the two parties, taking into account the internal dynamics and strategic directions for the development of the national team in the future."

"With the end of this collaboration, the coaching team will no longer handle the Indonesian national team at the senior, U-23, and U-20 levels," wrote PSSI's official statement.
