Today's Mandalika MotoGP Sprint Race, BMKG: Weather Is Estimated To Be Sunny And Cloudy

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated that the weather conditions in the MotoGP Indonesia sprint race at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) are predicted to be cloudy on Saturday, October 4.

"The weather this morning in the Mandalika area is expected to be cloudy," said BMKG NTB forecaster Agastya Ardha Chandra Dewi in Mataram, Saturday, as reported by Antara.

Then the weather during the afternoon to evening is also predicted to be cloudy and the weather at night until early morning is predicted to be cloudy with air temperatures ranging from 23-33 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the surface wind speed blows with the dominant direction from the south southeast with a maximum wind speed of 30 kilometers/hour.

Then for the weather conditions in the main race of the Indonesian MotoGP event on Sunday, October 5, cloudy skies are predicted in the morning.

However, in the afternoon to evening the weather is predicted to be cloudy to light rain and sunny cloudy nights.

"The air temperature is 23-33 degrees Celsius and the surface wind speed is a maximum of 30 kilometers per hour," he said.

Meanwhile, MGPA President Director Priandi Satria said the track was still in good condition throughout the training session and sunny weather also supported competitive training on the first day of the race, Friday, October 3.

"The collapse of racers is mainly due to technical factors and control errors made by racers themselves. It is not due to the condition of the Mandalika Circuit track," he said.

He ensured that all technical aspects of the circuit were in accordance with international standards set by FIM and Dorna Sports.

"The driver who fell, it was not because of the track, not because of the dirty track, there was oil liquid, or water. The fall was due to the overpower of racers doing full braking with the front brake while holding," he said.
