Ahead Of The Indonesian National Team's Opponents, Iraqi Coach Gets An Important Warning

JAKARTA - Iraq will face the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone.

Ahead of the agenda in October 2025, Graham Arnold as the coach received an important warning from former Iraqi national team player Ahmed Kudasir.

Kudair warned the Mesopotamian Lion Squad regarding the last trial against Indonesia on October 8, 2025. According to him, trials are very important for the harmonization of the team.

"The national team coach (Irak) needs to play one last test match before the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup Qualification Round. I think this experience is very important."

"Although it's just a domestic training camp and a trial against an Iraqi club, such a match will give Arnold (Graham) a clearer picture of the readiness of his players," Khudair said, quoted by Win Win on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Graham Arnold is only as young as corn as he is in charge of the Iraqi national team. He has four lead team matches.

Therefore, the coach clearly still needs emphasis on the way of playing, vision, and philosophy for his foster children.

"Coaches have increased the level of physical preparation of the players, but the issue of harmony requires them to play more games."

"The style and method used by Arnold requires practical matches on the ground to immediately show results for the Iraqi National Team," Khudair said again.

In the Fourth Round of 2026 World Cup Qualification, Iraq will face Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

These two opponents are considered by Khudair to have a dynamic pattern of play. Therefore, Iraq must appear more pragmatic and compact in carrying out Arnold's directives.
