Anthony Joshua's Duel Against Tyson Fury Must Be Realized

JAKARTA The famous boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has big ambitions to create a fight between fellow British boxers, Anthony Joshua against Tyson Fury.

The desire to bring together the two former heavyweight world champions continues to be pursued. However, until now there has been no bright spot at all.

Hearn stressed that it would be very, very unfortunate if the fight between the two big names never materialized in the history of heavyweight boxing fights.

"I feel that we will always regret if we never watch their duel. It will be the biggest fight in boxing," he said.

Joshua hasn't fought again since he suffered a loss against compatriot Daniel Dubois in September last year. He had to be sidelined for a long time because he needed recovery for elbow surgery.

On the other hand, Fury played his last fight in December 2024 when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk. He then decided to retire the following month and didn't give a signal to come back.

Hearn also hopes that the integrated heavyweight champion will change his mind and get into the ring against Joshua, who will determine who is the best in British heavyweight history.

"They are two very different fighters, but great. Two very extraordinary personalities, two very different individuals. For me, their clashes are a must," said the Matchroom boss.

Joshua in a recent post on social media hints that he will soon return to fight. He is likely to get into the ring again by the end of this year before targeting Fury next summer.

In the upload, Joshua also brought up a feud with his compatriot. He said he couldn't wait to punch Fury in the face.

"To my supporters, I will return to wearing shoes and wearing my gloves as soon as possible, hopefully I can punch Fury in the head," Joshua wrote on Instagram.

Joshua has had a total of 32 professional fights with a record 28 wins (25 knockouts) and four defeats. Meanwhile, Fury underwent 37 duels with a record 34 wins (24 knockouts), one draw, and two defeats.
