Mees Hilgers Opportunity To Get A New Club Discussed By FC Twenty

JAKARTA - Jan Streuer as Technical Director of FC Twenty discussed the opportunity for Mees Hilgers to get a new club at the beginning of this season. This was stated because of the situation of the player who is now hanging.

FC Twenty has actually given the green light for the move of Mees Hilgers. The defender has even almost joined Ligue 1 club Stade Brest, on the last day of the transfer market.

The agreement between Twente and Brest has even been reached. However, Hilgers canceled the move because he didn't have enough time to do a medical test.

Streuer emphasized that the opportunity for Hilgers to move clubs is still open because there are a number of leagues in Europe whose transfer markets have not been closed. Apart from Hilgers, Twente is also open to releasing defender Alex van Hoorenbeeck.

"We continue to work on it (Hilgers move). There are still several countries that are open (transfer rates) and several Dutch clubs are reportedly interested in borrowing it."
