Liverpool Offers IDR 777 Billion For Marc Guehi

Marc Guehi has already been offered by Liverpool, just waiting for approval from Crystal Palace (Instagram/@marcguehi).

JAKARTA - Liverpool have made an official offer to recruit defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. The 2024/2025 Premier League champions have not received a response to the proposed 35 million pounds (around Rp777 billion) proposed.

Guehi is believed to be open to moving considering his contract expires next summer. If the deal is reached, the 25-year-old Briton will be part of a defense unit consisting of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, and Giovanni Leoni at Anfield.

Talking about Guehi's future, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner doesn't really want the defender to leave.

"From my point of view, the transfer market closed on Monday (1 September 2025), he had to (hold)."

"He has to survive because right now, I think, it's impossible to find a replacement for Marc Guehi who can play directly in the Premier League, start for Crystal Palace, and be consistent."

"When we saw the foundations of success we have achieved in recent months, it is our defense."

"Marc is a crucial part, he is captain, player of the England National Team, and has the most experience."

"Finding the right replacement now, I think, is almost impossible," said Glasner to ESPN.

Marc Guehi was one of Liverpool's two targets in the last minute of the summer transfer market.

Another news mentions that Liverpool agreed with the proposal to purchase Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for 130 million pounds (around Rp. 2.8 trillion).

The Swedish National Team player will also undergo a medical test. If there are no obstacles, the figures issued by the Reds will be a record for Premier League transfers while ending Isak's saga transfer.

Previously, Liverpool had broken the record when they brought Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for 116 million pounds (approximately IDR 2.5 trillion).
