Austrian MotoGP Qualification Results 2025: Bezzecki Pole Position

JAKARTA Aprilia Racing's Marco Bezzecki locked the pole position for the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix after becoming the fastest in qualifying on Saturday, August 16, 205.

The qualification session (Q2) that determines the leading start takes place fiercely at the Spielberg Circuit or the Red Bull Ring. Bezzecki also managed to lead over Alex Marquez in second place.

The Italian racer finished the session with a time of 1 minute 28,060 seconds. He was only +0.016 seconds ahead of Alex, who currently occupies second place in the drivers' standings.

Two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia of the Ducati Levono Team, who received impressive results in Austria during a free practice session, followed the two names in third place.

Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, who managed to become the fastest in the first free practice, second free practice, and practice, slumped in qualifying for determination so he would start the race from fourth.

Marquez, six-time MotoGP world champion and leader of the drivers' standings in this season's racing calendar, actually had an accident at the end of the second qualifying.

Despite starting the race from fourth place, Francesco Bagnaia's teammate is still seeded for the 2025 Austrian MotoGP, which he has never won since 2016.

This estimate is because the racer nicknamed The Baby Alien has shown extraordinary consistency by winning the last five series of consecutive races.

Then the fifth position will be occupied by Enea Bastianini, the Red Bull KTM racer. He was followed by Fermin Aldeguer in sixth place and Pedro Alcohol in seventh place.

In a row after that completing the top ten were Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse), and Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol).
