Preparations For The 2025 Gymnastics World Championships Have Reached 60 Percent

JAKARTA Preparations to welcome the 53rd edition of the World Gymnastics World Championship 2025 have now reached 60 percent.

The prestigious event is scheduled to take place at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, on 19-25 October 2025. Various preparations have also been made by related parties.

Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB Persani), Ita Yuliati, said that one of the works that his party still had to do was complete the lighting at the match venue.

"We will start activities again at the Indonesia Arena on September 27, 2025, to start installing mining," said Ita in Jakarta on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Indonesia Arena actually meets international standards and is very worthy of holding a big sporting event. Previously, this place had hosted the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Ita said that even though it had been used for major events, this venue still needed special lighting for the needs of single events, such as the 2025 World Gymnastics Championship.

"So, we ask for support from all parties. So far, we have been supported by the Government, by NOC Indonesia, and of course by KONI," he said.

The 2025 Gymnastics World Championship will be attended by 501 athletes from 83 countries. This number is final because registration has been closed on July 20, 2025.

A number of athletes in the world's top gymnastics will certainly be present in Jakarta later. They came with the status of gold medalists in various important events, including the Olympics.
