Marleve Mainaky Withdraws From Pelatnas PBSI

After Alwi Farhan won, the assistant coach for the men's singles Pelatnas PBSI Cipayung, Marleve Mainaky, resigned (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA The main assistant coach for the men's singles number Marleve Mainaky officially decided to withdraw from the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center (Pelatnas).

Head of Development and Achievement Division (Head of Binpres), Eng Hian, in an official statement on Monday, August 4, 2025, said that Marleve chose to resign for personal reasons.

"His position will be replaced by Harry Hartono. PBSI would like to thank Marleve for Marleve's role and dedication while serving and praying for success ahead," said Eng Hian in the statement.

Marleve has not been in the assistant coach at the PBSI National Training Center for too long. He took the post to accompany main coach Mulyo Handoyo last year.

Mulyo had previously placed his position in early April 2025. The position of former coach Taufik Hidayat was replaced by Indra Wijaya.

Eng Hian said that PBSI chose Harry to accompany Indra because he already had the competence and experience of being the assistant coach of the main son of the PBSI National Training Center.

"In addition, the athletes are certainly also familiar with Harry. I hope that the collaboration between Indra and Harry can produce achievements that make Indonesia proud," he said.

Indonesian men's singles in the BWF World Tour calendar for the new year have secured only one title. The only title that is meant is obtained by Alwi Farhan.

The 2023 junior world champion climbed the highest podium at the Macau Open 2025. He won his first title at the BWF World Tour after stopping Justin Hoh from Malaysia.
