Blessings Fornas VIII NTB 2025, Center For Souvenirs

The souvenir center was bought by participants during the Fornas VIII 2025 NTB (doc. Fornas).

JAKARTA The holding of the VIII 2025 National Community Sports Festival (Fornas) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has made souvenir entrepreneurs in Mataram City feel like a sudden durian collapse.

One of those who took part in harvesting the blessings of the NTB Fornas VIII is the By-Oleh Lestari Shop which is located on Jalan Adi Sucipto Tinggar, Ampenan, Mataram. The shop has been heavily invaded by Fornas participants since the first day of the event on July 26, 2025.

Akhbar Habibie as the shop owner told of his busy shop since the first day. He admitted that Fornas participants did not stop coming to buy souvenirs to his shop.

"The impact is extraordinary. I can't go home until I can't go home. It's been three days in a row without rest hours," he said.

Fornas participants who come are not only individuals or small groups, but also groups. They come by bus big and buy up local products that are sold there.

High sales figures also occurred in outlets at NTB Mall. As a typical Lombok-Sumbawa souvenir sales center, the place recorded a 20-30 percent increase in the number of buyers during the VIII National Forum.

Head of UPTD BP3UD NTB Mall, Lalu Afghan Muharror, said that the souvenir products bought by participants at NTB Mall also varied, ranging from souvenirs, accessories, to special culinary delights.

"It doesn't fall behind, many products from Sumbawa Island are purchased, such as buffalo milk candy and Sumbawa oil," said Lalu.

The NTB Fornas VIII will last until August 1, 2025. This biennial public sports party recorded a very high number of participants, reaching 42 thousand people.
