The Indonesia Pro-Am Golf Event 2025 Prepares IDR 2.4 Billion Prize

JAKARTA The Indonesian Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura 2025 will compete in two numbers with a total prize prepared reaching 150 thousand US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 2.4 billion.

The prestigious event is scheduled to take place on September 10-12 2025 at Mount Geulis Country Club, Bogor, West Java. This is the third time the field has hosted this tournament.

The biggest international pro-am tournament in Indonesia has entered its third year since debut in 2023 and is part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) calendar.

One of Indonesia's amateur golfers who will compete is Andree Harahap. He is the amateur champion of The Indonesia Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura 2024 with Galven Green from Malaysia in the team number.

"I feel very lucky to be able to compete with pro golfers and good amateur players," said Andree, who also made his Pro-Am 2023 debut and managed to pass the cut.

Another Indonesian golfer, Peter Gunawan, will also enliven this event, which before giving birth to winners such as Kevin C. Akbar (Indonesia) in the first edition and Tanapat Pichaikool (Thailand) last year.

Peter Gunawan sees the opportunity to compete in an environment where he gets to know closely can provide his own benefits. He also hopes to get good results in this event.

"Playing on Mount Geulis provides great motivation for me. The atmosphere of the house itself is a booster of our spirit. Therefore, I look forward to the opportunity to make achievements," said Peter.

The two numbers contested in The Indonesia Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura this year are individual and team (pro-am). The individual number with prizes is IDR 2 billion, while the team is IDR 400 million.

Until now, The Indonesia Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura is still the biggest pro-am event and the first in Indonesia. This year the event carries the theme A Healthy Tomorrow.

President Director of Combiphar Group, Michael Wanandi, said that their support for the ADT tournament was a form of commitment to give birth and improve the achievements of Indonesian athletes.

"For us, Kevin's success can be an inspiration for other Indonesian golfers to remain consistent in achieving achievements, as can our consistency as a healthcare company in inspiring the Indonesian people," he said.

Nomura has also shown consistency since supporting the implementation of ADT in 2022. This global financial company makes golf part of its mission to contribute to the community.

Managing Director of International Wealth Management Nomura Singapore Limited, Yohei Akasaki, said that their participation in the ADT event since 2019 reflects their continued dedication.

"We are proud to be part of the journey and history of young golfers in Asia. We look forward to continuing this support in the years to come," he said.

There are a total of 100 professional golfers and 100 amateur golfers will compete in two Mount Geulis (West and East Course) courses simultaneously in the first two rounds.

After completing the 36 hole, there is a cut set. The golfers who are in the Top 50 plus tie (based on individual scores) will continue the game to the final round.

Meanwhile, the pro-am team at Top 20 will play in the final round of the pro-am competition. Prizes for pro-am numbers are provided for the team that has successfully occupied the Top 10.
