JAKARTA - Lightweight fighter (70.3 kg) Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Max Holloway broke Dustin Poirier's retirement match with a win at UFC 318 at Smoothie King Center, Louisiana, United States, Sunday, western Indonesia time.

"I love you Louisiana, I know I have to be a criminal. I am very sorry, but thank you for your friendliness," Max Holloway said after his victory which was monitored via the UFC YouTube channel in Jakarta on Sunday.

The two fighters exchanged attacks since the fight started withtarting the rhythm and his sharp attack brought Poirier to the canvas.

Poirier was able to recover well, but every time he started to get aggressive, Holloway would reply with a timely shot to keep his distance.
