JAKARTA - Ducati Racer Marc Marquez is eyeing two front rows at the starting line of the 2025 German GP MotoGP race so he is determined to give his best efforts in the second qualifying at the Sachsenring Circuit, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany, Saturday, July 12.

Marquez immediately qualified for the second qualifying round (Q2) without passing the first qualification (Q1) because he became the fastest third rider in the training session, Friday (11/7).

"Of course, the goal for tomorrow is to pass the qualification in the first two rows and then do their best," Marquez said, quoting Antara.

Marquez recorded a time of one minute 20.372 seconds in the previous session in the first free practice, leaving closest competitors Jack Miller and Marco Bezzecki.

The round of time was then 0.911 seconds faster during the training session, but still lost to Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

The goal is to record a good lap time and qualify for Q2. We are also working on settings and trying out various tire options, because the weather during qualifying is not expected to be good. It could make us less time on dry tracks," said Marquez.

The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien is now leading the top of the standings with 307 points. He is 68 points ahead of his younger brother Alex, in second place and 126 points from his teammate and last season's Sachsenring winner Francesco Bagnaia in third.

Marquez is the record holder of the most wins at the Sachsenring with eight wins, which he won from the 2013 to 2021 editions, and won the leading start seven times.

No MotoGP racer is close to Marquez's record at the Sachsenring. The two riders who are close to the record of the 32-year-old racer are the two legends of Giacomo Agostini (six wins) and Mike Hailwood (four wins).
