Tottenham Recruit Kudus, West Ham's Mainstay Front Player

Tottenham Hotspur recruited West Ham United forward Mohamed Kudus. Tottenham immediately gave the Ghana national team player a long contract.

London clubs competing in the English Premier League are buying and selling players again. Previously, Arsenal was trying to buy Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. The transfer is likely to be realized soon.

Now important transfers are back involving two London clubs. Kudus, who actually failed to lift West Ham's performance, had to leave the club based in East London. He crossed into North London after West Ham reached an agreement to release his players at Tottenham.

There is no mention of the value of Kudus' transfer. However, the media in the UK, including The Sun, received information that Tottenham had to spend 55 million or approximately 1.2 trillion rupiah.

Initially the North London club submitted a price of 50 million pounds, but the Hammers rejected the offer. Tottenham finally raised the offer to 55 million pounds which West Ham directly approved.

At the new club, Kudus got a long six-year contract. This means that the contract for the 24-year-old player will only expire in 2031.

Kudus, who is the mainstay of the front line and has played 65 times for West Ham by scoring 13 goals and making nine of these assists recruited from Ajax Amsterdam in 2023.

Even though he only played in West Ham for a while, Kudus said he was happy to be joining Tottenham which opened up opportunities for him to play at the highest level.

"The club is indeed big and has a history in the Champions League. This is clearly a good moment and of course I am happy to be joining. I can't wait to make my debut," Kudus was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Kudus' decision to accept the offer was inseparable from the figure of the new manager Thomas Frank who replaced Ange Postecoglou.

"One of the most important things why I came here [Tottenham] was none other than a project from the club and how the manager handled it. I also want to be more developed under him," he said again.

"From its history, I witnessed him develop many young talents who later became top players. This is certainly a big signing and I really want to work with him," said Kudus.

Kudus failed last season. But Frank thinks the player remains a valuable asset for Tottenham. He will be the mainstay when Frank plays a counter-attack strategy like at Brentford.
