JAKARTA The Indonesian contingent has brought home a total of five gold medals from the ASEAN Climbing Championship 2025 rock climbing event which was held in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Indonesia closed the championship with brilliant results, adding three gold medals on the last day of the match which took place on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

The three additional gold medals that Indonesia got on the closing day were presented by Alma Ariella Tsany, Nur Ismatul Sakdia, and Ardana Cikal Damarwulan.

"This result is the result of their hard work and persistence (athletes) which have struggled to complete the championship and cannot be separated from the support and prayers of the Indonesian people," said Arie as Indonesia's Official Delegate in a statement received.

Indonesia's first gold on the last day was presented by Alma Ariella Tsany from the women's lead number Youth. Alma recorded a score of 50 and won over Thailand's representative, Natcha Suplorased, who won silver with a score of 37+.

The bronze medal was won by Sofia Xiao Menghan from Singapore with the same score 37+. Sofia had to be on the third podium because she lost on a record time.

Nur Ismatul Sakdia's second gold from the women's boulder open. Nur collected a total of 39.1 points, ahead of Vanessa Ting Si Yin from Singapore who got 39.0 points, and Puntakara Tunyavanich from Thailand with 19.9 points.

The third gold medal came from Ardana Cikal Damarwulan who returned to the highest podium after becoming the champion in the men's lead number Youth.

Ardana recorded a score of 27+ and narrowly won over two Singapore representatives, Mitchell Charles Boyer Hai Jie (27) and Dylan Seow Yong Kang (25+).

Two Indonesian gold medals were previously obtained by Mahesa Caesar (let's open son) and Ardana Cikal (men's Youth boulder). Indonesia's total secures five gold, one silver, and one bronze.
