Situbondo Contingent Collects Seven Medals At Porprov East Java IX

JATIM - Situbondo Regency came to compete in the IX East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov). They collected seven medals until June 28 at the event which was held in Malang Raya, East Java.

The medals won by the Situbondo contingent consisted of 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. For the standings, the Situbondo contingent is ranked 24th out of 38 contingents throughout East Java.

The Deputy Regent of Situbondo Ulfiyah, who was present at the opening of the 2025 IX 2025 East Java Porprov at the Gajayana Stadium, Malang City, and at the same time gave encouragement to Situbondo athletes to uphold sportsmanship in the match, on Saturday (27/6) night.

"Keep the spirit of the brothers and sisters, uphold the sportsmanship during the match, because the results will not betray the business," said Ulfiyah encouraging the Situbondo contingent, quoting ANTARA, Sunday, June 29.

Deputy Regent Ulfiyah also appreciated the seven medals that were temporarily collected from three sports, namely taekwondo, triathlon, cricket.

"Keep the spirit of adding medals to the Situbondo contingent so that it can increase the ranking of medals and make Situbondo move up in class," said Ulfiyah.

Meanwhile, in the Field of Achievement Development, the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of Situbondo Regency, Nusa Aldera said, until now there have been seven medals that have been won by the Situbondo Contingent, consisting of 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

The triathlon sport contributed 3 gold, 1 gold and 1 silver taekwondo, while the cricket contributed 1 silver and 1 bronze.

The first gold medal from taekwondo (sports), Anindyatami Wanda Prabaningrum won gold in the U-67 kyorugi number, Al Kautsar got the second gold from a triathlon sport in the men's individual number andore Abigail who also won gold in the women's individual aquathlon number, and triathlon team mix relay Alkautsar &ria Abigail Martino also contributed a gold medal.

Meanwhile, taekwondo sport Muhammad Fauzi won silver in the U-58 kyorugi number, and another silver medal from the men's team cricket team, one bronze medal from the women's team cricket team.

"We are optimistic that there will be another medal that will be won by the Situbondo contingent, considering that there are still 18 sports competing from today until July 5," said Nusa Aldera.

At the IX East Java Province Sports Week in Malang Raya, Situbondo fielded 21 sports with 110 athletes, and KONI Situbondo targeted the 2025 East Java Porpriv to be ranked higher than the previous one at the lowest level of 38 districts/cities in East Java.*
