Jackson Irvine's Warning To The Indonesian National Team: Australia Has Changed Total

JAKARTA - Australian star player Jackson Irvine threw a warning to the Indonesian national team ahead of their duel in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. Irvine said that now The Socceroos was much different from the last meeting.

The meeting between Australia and Indonesia will take place at the Sydney Football Stadium, Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 16.10 WIB. After being held to a draw at the first meeting at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, September 2024, Australia will now perform better with a new coach.

"Of course when there is a change there will always be different energy. There are many new players, new faces. However, in the end, our task remains the same."

"Everyone here wants to show their best performance and contribute to the team. After a long hiatus since November 2024, all the players are back determined to get up," Irvine was quoted as saying on the Socceroos website on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Currently Australia is trained by Tony Popovic after Graham Arnold resigned from office in September 2024. Apart from a new tactician, The Socceroos are now also reinforced by several new players to cope with the storm of injuries.

There were eight key players who were injured. The players are Harry Souttar, Nay Irankunda, Jordan Bos, Thomas Deng, Riley McGree,ctional Metcalfe, Hayden Matthews, and Alessandro Circati.

This situation is clearly a big loss for Jackson Irvine and his friends. Even so, Irvine is optimistic that his team can perform optimally because communication is a tactical step taken in preparation.
