Swiss Open 2025: Indonesia Secures 2 Tickets To The Round Of 16

JAKARTA Indonesia has secured two tickets to the second round of the Swiss Open 2025 through Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin.

Part of the last 32 matches of the Super 300 BWF level competition which took place in St. Jakobshalle was completed on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at dawn WIB.

The women's doubles pair Febriana/Amallia got the first ticket. They qualified for the second round of the tournament thanks to a win over the French representatives, Agathe Cuevas/Kathell Desmots-Chacun, in two straight games 21-9 and 21-13.

"This is the first match while adjusting to the conditions of the field and the ball, but it should not be too relaxed, still have to fight from the start," said Amalia.

Febriana/Amallia, who are the third seed in this event, will then face the women's doubles from China Taipei, Hsu Yin-Hui/Lin Jhih Yun.

This is their second clash. Febriana/Amallia won their only previous competitive clash in the face in the second round of Thailand Masters 2024.

"We have to be able to take advantage of opportunities, focus on games after matches. We want better results here," said Amalia in response to their travel opportunities in the next round.

As for Fikri/Daniel, they qualified for the second round by defeating the Chinese pair, Chen Bo Yang/Xie Hao Nan, in a dramatic rubber game that ended with a score of 21-12, 19-21, and 21-15.

"The competition in the men's doubles has been evenly distributed, from the first half it was fierce no matter how much the level of the tournament was," said Fikri after undergoing the match for 53 minutes.

Indonesia may still add tickets on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. It is recorded that there are still four representatives who will struggle to trace the two pairs.
