Rans Simba Coach Highlights Unstable Performance: There Is Potential That Hasn't Come Out Yet

JAKARTA - Rans Simba Bogor has achieved a fairly good match record at IBL this season. However, coach Anthony Garbelotto said his team's performance was not optimal.

Anthony believes his team has not issued their skills or best abilities to compete, so they have not been able to appear consistent from match to match.

According to him,ick Van Oostrum performed well by scoring seven wins from nine matches that have been played, but that is not enough to win the competition.

"We are satisfied with what we have achieved so far, but we don't just accept this, because we continue to strive to be better, especially for some players who have not yet come out with their best potential," said the man who is often called Coach Thony on the IBL website quoted in Jakarta, citing ANTARA, Sunday 2 March.

He said his team still had a number of notes to improve, ranging from defense, attack, to efforts to remove the maximum potential from each individual.

All of these things, he continued, are needed to maintain the positive trend that has been achieved until the sixth week of IBL this season.

Coach Tony said, there are at least three names that have not come out of their best potential or ability. They are Danny Ray, Rheza Butarbutar, and Mohammed Aymane Garudi Arip.

Since he entered Rans, Danny has only played an average of 10.7 minutes per game and the average point contribution is only 1.1 points per game (ppg).

Whereas while with the Tangerang Hawks Basketball, he was able to record 11 ppg in 2022, then 11.2 ppg in 2023, and 7.6 ppg in the last season.

Meanwhile, Rheza Butarbutar, is still playing three matches out of a total of nine matches played by Rans.

Meanwhile, Aymane began to contribute positively, although not yet optimal. He has been played in three matches, contributing 1.3 ppg.

Currently, Rans Simba Bogor is in fourth place in the 2025 IBL Gopay standings, pocketing 16 points, and having a record 7-2 (win-loss) match.
