Viral Wrestling Scene In The Middle Of League 2 Matches, Involve PSPS And Deltras Players

JAKARTA - An unfortunate incident occurred again in the middle of an Indonesian football match, this time it happened in Liga 2 between PSPS Pekanbaru vs Deltras Sidoarjo. Two players from each team got involved in a wrestling scene in the middle of the match.

PSPS hosted Deltras in the last eight match of Group X which was held at the Kaharuddin Nasution Stadium, Pekanbaru, Thursday, February 6, 2025.

In the video circulating on social media, it can be seen that there was a moment between Jhon Mena and Marsel Usemahu who instead hit each other in the 90+2 minute. This incident started with an aerial duel between Mena and Marsel, where Marsel was seen kicking the Colombian player.

Mena tried to wake up Marsel, but Marsel actually responded by strangulation and hitting. Provoked, Mena did not accept it and instead brought down Marsel with a movement to tie her neck like a WWE wrestling athlete (World Wrestling Entertainment).

The two then got involved in a great wrestling battle. Because of this incident, the players of both camps had to separate Marsel and Mena who finally both got a red card from referee Zufriadi.

The match itself ended with a score of 2-0 for PSPS victory. Jhon Mena opened the PSPS advantage through a penalty spot in the 60th minute, followed by Noriki Akada's goal (83').

The @pengamatsepakbola account became one of the ones who uploaded the viral video. Warganet immediately flooded the comments column which was crowded with satire and compared Jhon Mena with WWE wrestler John Cena.
