Dejan And Gloria Receive PB Djarum Bonus After Being Ranked 8th In The World

JAKARTA - Dejan Ferdinansyah and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja received an appreciation of Rp. 400 million from PB Djarum for their achievements in eighth place in the world at the end of last year.

The two badminton players who had been a mixed doubles pair received the bonus along with a number of other PB Djarum outstanding athletes at the Oakwood Hotel, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Djarum Foundation's Director of Sports and PB Djarum Chairperson, Yoppy Rosimi, welcomed the achievements of their athletes who have fought throughout 2024 with a series of wins.

"In the future, we still have homework to shine more in international championships, both in the team and individual sectors," he said.

Dejan and Gloria are ranked eighth in the world as of December 31, 2024 and are the best mixed doubles in Indonesia. However, they are currently playing with a new partner.

The pair were still together at the Malaysia Open 2025 before being overhauled. Dejan was withdrawn to the PBSI National Training Center and played with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, while Gloria remained at the club and played with Rehan Naufal Kusaharjanto.

"The business itself, working hard alone, paid off. Praise God is still given a bonus. So, back to doing your best and remember the motto Om Yoppy don't want to lose on the field like he said," said Gloria.

The Djarum Foundation Sports Service issued a total bonus of Rp966,950,000. This figure is for various proud achievements that have been inscribed by their fostered athletes, including the achievement of eighth place in Dejan and Gloria.

In addition, the achievements consisted of the women's cadets' singles champion, mixed teams, men's cadets' doubles, and women's cadets' doubles at the 2024 PBSI National Championship.

Then, 48 outstanding athletes in 2024 U-17 and U-19 age groups, as well as the best young athlete PB Djarum 2024.

"The achievements achieved in 2024 are because we at the club provide consistent and equitable training ranging from athletes aged 11 to 19 years," said Yoppy.

PB Djarum has packed a total of five individual champions at the PBSI National Championships. In line with 1994 in Denpasar, 1998 in Surabaya, 2010 in Makassar, 2016 in Solo, and 2024 in Jakarta.

The women's singles champion of the 2024 PBSI National Championship is the first since it was last won in 2019. Last year, PB Djarum even managed to record an all-semifinal in the women's singles.

In addition, the 2024 PBSI National Championship mixed team champion has been achieved again since the last achievement was obtained in 2016. Another score also came from the men's singles, Richie Duta Richardo, after defeating PBSI Pelatnas player Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.
