JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will start the struggle in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup from February 13 to March 1, 2025 in China.

In the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup, the Indonesian national team joined Group C with Iran U-20, Uzbekistan U-20, and Yemen U-20.

From the schedule released by the AFC, all group stage matches will be held at Shenzhen Youth Football Training Base Center Stadium, Shenzhen.

In the preliminary round, Indra Sjafri's squad has been awaited by tough opponents. Iran will be the first test to face on February 13, 2025, followed by Uzbekistan, which is the defending champion, on February 16, 2025.

The final match of the group phase took place on February 19, 2025, against Yemen. This party is also considered tough considering the status of the opponent who previously held Indonesia U-20 to a draw in the qualifying round.

To qualify from the group stage, Garuda Muda had to work extra hard because being in the group was quite difficult. Moreover, the U-20 Indonesian national team has never defeated Uzbekistan and Yemen in previous meetings.

In the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup edition, Indonesia U-20, then coached by Shin Tae-yong, was able to hold Uzbekistan 0-0 in the group phase.
