Ronaldo Has More Titles Amid Future Uncertainty With Al Nassr

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he is hungry for more titles on his second birthday with Saudi Arabia's Pro League club, Al Nassr.

Portugal captain, who was named the 2024 Middle Eastern Player of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards recently, has scored 74 goals in 83 games since joining a free transfer in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United.

Reflecting on his time in Riyadh, Ronaldo, who will turn 40 on February 5, 2025, said he was still happy to be in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

"I am happy and my family is happy. We are starting a new life in this beautiful country. Life is good, football is good."

"In terms of individuals and collectives, we are still there. We are still developing," said Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who has scored more than 900 goals in his career and holds a world record for the most international goals, further expressed confidence that the Saudi Arabian Pro League has moved in the right direction since its arrival.

"For me, it is an honor that this league is developing and many star players are coming to make this league better and more competitive."

"However, what I look forward to is that this league will continue to grow in the next five to 10 years. Not only the first team, but also the academy."

Ronaldo has raised one title, the Arab Club Champions Cup (The Arab Club Champions Cup) in 2023, since joining Al Nassr.

Despite not winning trophies last season, he set the Saudi Arabian Pro League record with 35 goals in his first season.

"You know, when you win titles, things get easier, and have the privilege to win in my first year here. My first trophy was incredible."

Al Nassr is in fourth place in the 2024/2025 Saudi Arabian Pro League, 11 points adrift of leaders Al Ittihad.
