Suwon FC Reshuffles Squad For 2025, 13 Players Released Including Primary Arhan

JAKARTA - The South Korean club, Suwon FC, made a big overhaul to welcome the 2025 season. A total of 13 players were released by the club, including the Indonesian national team player, Pratama Arhan.

Quoted on Thursday, January 2, 2025, through its official and social media pages, the 13 players released by Suwon FC in early 2025 were Lachlan Jackson (Australia), Pratama Arhan (Indonesia), and Eljon Sota (Albania).

Not only that, Suwon FC also released Jeong Seung-won, Jeong Dong-ho, Nodong Geon and Hwang Soon-min.

Then, Suwon FC also did not extend the contracts of Kang Kyo-hoon, Park Jin-woo, Kim air-min, and Lee Kyung-min.

Through uploads on Instagram, Suwon FC expressed his gratitude for the contribution of the names above that have helped the team navigate K-League 1 for the 2024 season.

"Goodbye Suwon FC players Jackson, Arhan, and Sota who left the team. The club will not forget the dedication of its players both on and off the pitch. Thank you," wrote Suwon FC on the club's Instagram quoted Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Pratama Arhan began joining Suwon FC on January 16, 2024. He was contracted with a duration of one year after previously strengthening Tokyo Verdy in Japan.

During one season defending Suwon FC, Pratama Arhan did not get many playing opportunities. Arhan was recorded as only two appearances for Suwon FC.

The opportunity occurred in the South Korean League (K-League) for the 2024 season. Arhan entered as a substitute when Suwon drew 1-1 against Pohang Steelers and lost 0-1 to Jeju United.
