Herjun Atna Firdaus Wins ARRC 2024

JAKARTA Indonesian racer, Herjun Atna Firdaus, came out as the champion of the 2024 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) with his team Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT).

Herjun holds the title in the Asia Production 250cc (AP250) class after finishing second in the second race of the last round held at the Chang International Circuit, Thailand, Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Selama musim ini Herjun berhasil menjaga konsistensinya dan membatung tekanan kuat dari pebalap lain yang menggunakan mesin bercilinder dan berkapasitas lebih besar.

"I am very grateful and happy with the results of this race. At the beginning, I deliberately set the rhythm in the back row to maintain the performance of the tires," Herjun quoted the AHRT website as saying.

The victory above made Herjun get a total of 165 points. The rider and his CBR250RR recorded six podiums from 11 races that took place.

Herjun actually started the race from second place in the final round of ARRC Buriram. He even fell to ninth before fighting desperately and winning second place.

"Towards the last five laps, I stepped on the gas and targeted the leading position until I finally finished in second."

"Thanks to the team and mechanics who continued to support me until I became the Asian Champion this year in the AP250 class," said Herjun.

Another satisfying result was also obtained by another Indonesian racer, Adenanta Putra. This racer locked the runner-up achievements in the SS600 class by collecting 161 points in the final standings.

Adenanta started the first race from seventh. He had immediately shot up to the front row at the start of the race, then was in third place, and then transferred the finish line in second place.

Then in the second race, Adenanta started the race confidently and had time to poke into the third position. Unfortunately, he could not continue the race again after falling.
