Mandalika Becomes The 18th Grand Prix In The 2025 MotoGP Calendar

JAKARTA The race at the Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, will become the 18th Grand Prix in the 2025 MotoGP racing calendar.

The competition season that will come from the most prestigious motorcycle racing event in the world will be held in 22 series. Starting from the first series on February 28, 2025 to March 2, 2025 at the Chang Circuit, Buriram, Thailand.

Thailand has been appointed as the opening to replace Qatar, which is being renovated. This is the first time the season's opening race has taken place in Southeast Asia since Malaysia in 1999.

Next, the second series of races will take place in Argentina, the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit. Following that is the race in the United States, Circuit of the Americas, Texas.

The Lusail International Circuit in Qatar, which in previous seasons used to be the opening series, will hold the fourth series which will take place on 11-13 April 2025.

A total of 12 series after that will take place in mainland Europe, starting from the Jerez Circuit in Spain (25-27 April 2025) to the Misano Circuit in Italy (12-14 September 2025).

The closing race in September 2025 then took place at the Motegi Circuit, Japan. The series of races then continued to the Mandalika International Circuit on October 3-5, 2025.

This season's title competition is likely to be interesting. Especially the joining of Marc Marquez to the Ducati Lenovo Team with Francesco Bagnaia.

Bagnaia will try to get back on the winning track after this season was tackled by Jorge Martin. However, his efforts are likely to face resistance from Marquez who is chasing the seventh world champion in his career.
