Three Teams Compete For Grand Final Livoli Tickets For Main Division 2024, Indomaret Leads The Standings

The competition in the last four (final four) Livoli, Main Division of 2024, men's sector, is getting tighter after the first round was completed at GOR Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik, East Java, Saturday, November 16. Three teams, namely Indomaret Sidoarjo, LavAni Navy, and Rajawali Pasundan, both recorded two wins and one defeat.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Air Force Electric had to settle for being in the caretaker position after swallowing three defeats without a win, making their chances to the grand final almost closed.

In the last match Saturday, LavAni Navy performed brilliantly by defeating the defending champion Rajawali Pasundan by 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-20). This victory is the first perfect result for the team belonging to the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) after previously narrowly winning 3-2 against the Indonesian Air Force and losing 1-3 to Indomaret Sidoarjo.

"Today's children's injuries are as desired by the coach. The service is pressing, solid defense, and minimal receiver errors," said LavAni Navy assistant coach Erwin Rusni. He said the results of this first round will be an evaluation material for facing the second round of the four-week finals next week.

In another match, Indomaret Sidoarjo strengthened their position at the top of the standings with a landslide victory 3-0 (28-26, 25-19, 25-17) over the Indonesian Air Force Electric. Despite fierce resistance in the first set, Alfin Daniel and his friends managed to appear dominant in the next two sets thanks to aggressive games and tight blocks.

"Overall, I am quite satisfied with the children's performances. They play enjoy, both in attack and defense," said Indomaret Sidoarjo coach Iwan Dedi Setiawan, who is familiarly called Giso.

Meanwhile, Rajawali Pasundan coach, Agus Jumaedi, admitted that his team's crushing defeat to LavAni Navy was due to the decline in the physical condition of the players. Fatigue is an obstacle, but we still believe we can qualify for the grand final," he said.

Temporary Standings

Until the end of the first round, Indomaret led the standings with a score of 7, followed by LavAni Navy and Rajawali Pasundan who both collected a score of 5. LavAni took the lead in second place thanks to a better winning set ratio.

Second Round Schedule

The second round of final four will take place next week in the same place, where the top three teams will return to fight for two tickets to the top party. With competition still open, each match will be crucial for the contestants.
