Korea Masters 2024: 3 Indonesian Representatives Reach Quarter Finals

Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, one of the three Indonesian representatives remains in the quarter-finals of the Korea Masters 2024 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Indonesia only has three representatives who have penetrated the quarter-finals of the Korea Masters 2024. All three are spread across three different sectors.

The series of matches in the second round of the BWF Super 300 level event will be completed on Thursday, November 7, 2024, WIB night. Of the five Indonesian representatives who appeared, two of them lifted their suitcases.

The three representatives who are still standing are the women's singles Kusuma Wardani, the mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanulle Widjaja, and the women's doubles Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.

Putri KW, who became the second seed in the event, reached the last eight after winning the first competitive clash with the single Chinese Taipei, Tung Ciou-Tong.

The 22-year-old badminton player will then meet sixth seed Sim Yu-jin. The host's representative qualified for the quarter-finals after repatriating his compatriot, Park Ga-eun.

Then, Dejan/Gloria extended their journey after being forced to play rubber games against the host's mixed doubles, Ki Dong-ju/Lee Yeon-woo.

At the quarter-finals tomorrow, November 8, 2024, Dejan/Gloria, who will be the second seed, will be challenged by fifth seed from Thailand, Rutanapak Oupthong/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat.

This is the third clash between the two pairs. In the previous two clashes at the Japan Open and Macau Open, they beat each other.

Meanwhile, Febriana/Amalia escaped after repatriating the Chinese Taipei pair, Jiang Yi-Hua/Li Zi Qing, in an easy two straight game match.

Febriana/Amalia as the next third seed will be challenged again by another Chinese Taipei pair, namely the women's doubles Lin Xiao Min/Wang Yu Qiao.

Tomorrow's quarter-final match will start at 11.00 South Korean time or 08.00 WIB.
