Naturalization Approved, Kevin Diks Will Take The Oath Of Indonesian Citizens In Denmark On November 7

JAKARTA - Kevin Diks' naturalization to join the Indonesian national team received the green light after being discussed at the Commission XIII and X Meeting of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Monday, November 4, 2024. The plan is for the player to take the oath of Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Denmark on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

The news was revealed by the Chairman of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Hetifah Sjaifudian. He said the oath-taking of Indonesian citizens would take place in Denmark.

"So on November 15, 2024) during the match (against Japan), on November 7, 2024) it must have entered the FIFA letter (shifted federation). On November 7, 2024, it was also sworn in in Denmark. This is information from PSSI," said Hetifah in her statement quoted Monday, November 4, 2024.

In line with what Hetifah said, Menpora Dito Ariotedjo also ensured that Kevin Diks would take the oath of Indonesian citizens in Denmark on November 7, 2024.

Denmark was chosen as the location for taking the oath of Indonesian citizens because Kevin Diks is currently playing for the Danish League club, FC Copenhagen.

"The plan (WNI oath) was taken by the Ministry of Law in Denmark. Of course, we are waiting for the process to be carried out in the DPR to be completed. Only after that, we will pursue the inauguration," said Dito.

So far, Kevin Diks' naturalization has been approved by Commission X and Commission XIII of the DPR on Monday, November 4, 2024.

In the Plenary Meeting of Commission X and Commission XIII of the DPR RI, it was not only the Diks process that was discussed, but also approved the naturalization of two candidates for the Indonesian Women's National Team, namely Noa Leatomu and Emstellar Loupatty.

After the process of these three players is approved by Commission X and XIII of the DPRI RI, the file will then be continued with discussions at the DPR Plenary Meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
