Tyson Fury Reveals His Wife Was Miscarried Before The First Duel Against Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will have a rematch (Instagram/@tysonfury).

JAKARTA - Tyson Fury revealed that his wife, Paris, had a miscarriage the night before the fight for the undisputed world heavyweight title against Oleksandr Usyk in May 2024.

Paris Fury is six months pregnant with their eighth child and did not travel to Saudi Arabia to witness her husband's fight against Usyk in Riyadh.

The fight ended in Usyk's victory through a separate decision and was crowned the undisputed heavyweight world champion.

"He lost (his baby) on Friday fighting, which was pretty annoying," said Tyson Fury.

"I'm not looking for excuses, but she was six months pregnant. It's not like a small miscarriage at first."

"You have to give birth to a dead child, alone, while your husband is in a foreign country."

"I couldn't be there for him, at the time, and it was difficult for me. I've been with the woman longer than when I wasn't with her."

"So, it's hard for me not to be there with him," Fury said.

Fury told the story at his rematch press conference against Usyk on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, local time.

However, he didn't want that bad news to be the reason for losing against Usyk in May 2024. After all, Paris actually wanted Fury to focus on dealing with the Ukrainian boxer by not telling him anything about his condition.

Fury further recalled the heartbreaking incident where his feelings were already uncomfortable before the duel against Usyk at that time.

"When he said he couldn't come, I knew there was a problem. He usually comes on match week, but he has high blood pressure and can't come."

"I asked him what happened and to tell me, but he didn't want to. So I know."

"I know. I know there is a problem. I told my brother that he lost his baby."

"He never told me that he had lost his baby, but I did. When I came back, I got inevitable confirmation that the baby had died, but he kept it a secret," Fury said.

Fury seemed moved when he confirmed that they had lost a boy.

"We've had a miscarriage before and it happened. Will we have another child?"

"I don't know if he's back to normal after that. It takes a lot to recover."

"However, don't do these terrible things anymore because I will cry sobbing," said Fury.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury is scheduled to board the ring again against Oleksandr Usyk as part of the re-match clause.

The fight will no longer be indisputable world heavyweight titles.

The plan is that the clash between Fury and Usyk will take place on December 21, 2024, in Riyadh.
