JAKARTA - The recovery process for Marcus Rashford's back injury has improved after a scan showed a positive result.
England star Rashford has not featured for United since breaking his spine in an FA Cup third-round replay against Wolves on January 15.
There are concerns, the 22-year-old player will miss the rest of the season and Euro 2020. In fact, he is the mainstay of the Red Devils' front line with 22 goals scored in all competitions this season.
However, with domestic and Euro 2020 matches postponed due to the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic, Rashford could have a chance to return to action if and when the 2019-20 season resumes.
"The club can confirm that Marcus Rashford has been allowed to step up his rehabilitation program following encouraging signs in his latest scan. His progress will continue to be monitored by the club's medical team," United said on Monday, March 30.
"Rashford was working hard on rehabilitation with the medical staff at the Aon Training Complex, before the coronavirus pandemic forced all Red Devils players to train individually at home."

Speaking to Sky Sports last week, Rashford said he felt "10 times better" as he worked hard to make a full recovery.
"For me, right now it's just about getting ready to go back to training and then play for the team," he said.
"I'm in a much better position. I was much happier than I was about a month ago, so everything looks positive."
