Officially, Miguel Oliveira Absent At MotoGP Mandalika 2024

Miguel Oliveira, has certainly not participated in the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP race (Instagram/@88miguloliveira).

JAKARTA Portugal's Trackhouse Racing driver, Miguel Oliveira, is confirmed to miss the 2024 Mandalika Grand Prix MotoGP race tomorrow weekend.

Oliveira, who won Mandalika's first series in 2022, certainly could not appear after a high side accident at Turn 1 in the Free Practice 1 (FP1) session on Friday, September 27, 2024, morning WIB.

"The medical examination confirmed Oliveira's right wrist fracture after the FP1 accident. We wish you a speedy recovery, Miguel!" according to a MotoGP statement on their social media.

Oliveira was taken to the Medical Center for initial examination. He was then transferred to the Mataram City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for a CT scan.

"He will undergo a three-dimensional CT scan at the hospital in Mataram to evaluate whether it needs surgery or not. As soon as possible, we will provide more information," said a statement from Trackhouse.

The Mandalika race is the 15th draw of the season. Oliveira currently still occupies the 14th position of the standings with a collection of only 71 points.

The peak of the 2024 Mandalika Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2024. After that there are still five series left, namely Japan, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, and closing in Valencia, Spain.

The ruler of the standings is currently held by Jorge Martin. The Spaniard has collected a total of 341 points.
