Barcelona Vs Getafe: Blaugrana Waiting For Seventh Victory This Season

JAKARTA - Barcelona will try to maintain their perfect record in La Liga this season when they host Getafe who have yet to win, on Wednesday night, September 25. The Blaugrana are currently at the top of the standings with a four-point advantage, while Getafe is still stuck in the relegation zone.

Hansi Flick started his career in La Liga brilliantly, leading Barcelona to victory in six league opener matches. After winning three straight wins with a score of 2-1, Barcelona showed a sharp attack with a big win against Real Valladolid (7-1) and Girona (4-1) before beating Villarreal 5-1 on Sunday, 22 September.

Despite losing in the Champions League against AS Monaco, Barcelona came back with an impressive win over Villarreal, despite three goals against them being disallowed. Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha each scored two goals, while Pablo Torre scored his first goal in La Liga.

However, the victory was overshadowed by a serious injury suffered by their flagship goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who suffered a severe knee injury and had to be sidelined for a long time. Even so, Barcelona still maintains a four-point lead over Real Madrid.

Returning home after three consecutive away games, Barcelona had a good record against Getafe, winning their last six home games against them scoring 16 goals and conceding only four times.

Meanwhile, Getafe had a difficult start to the season, without a win from six games with four draws and two defeats. Jose Bordalas' side have only scored three goals so far, making them one of the team with the lowest productivity in La Liga.

Getafe will try to break their bad record against Barcelona, but the win at Camp Nou seems to be a difficult target, considering they last picked up an away point against Barcelona in February 2018.

Barcelona had to lose Marc-Andre ter Stegen after their main goalkeeper suffered a serious knee injury and had undergone surgery. Inaki Pena is ready to be the first starter of the season to replace Ter Stegen.

Barcelona's injury list is getting longer with the absence of Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo, and Fermin Lopez. Flick is expected to re-rotate his team, with Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Balde, and Marc Casado returning to lineup starting, while Ferran Torres is returning from suspension.

In Getafe's camp, Nabil Aberdin is still doubtful after missing the last three games. Real Madrid's former Real Rodriguez is also still in doubt due to an ankle problem, while Borja Mayoral is likely to start after returning from injury.
