BANDA ACEH - Chairman of the Aceh Derajat Tarung Muhammad Alfatah suspects that there is a collusion about basic consumption and delays in distribution to the combat athletes of the XX Aceh National Sports Week (PON)-North Sumatra 2024.

"This issue of stale consumption has happened for a long time and it turns out that it happened to our fighting athletes, in addition to basic food and the committee was late in dropping athletes," said Tarung Derajat Aceh Chairman Muhammad Alfatah in Banda Aceh, Antara, Sunday, September 15.

Alfatah admitted that the incident was very embarrassing, so the fighting contingent of a number of provinces immediately reported to the committee because they wanted to make a settlement as soon as possible when the delay occurred on Friday, September 13 evening.

However, apparently the same thing happened again on Saturday morning. Where a number of athletes found stale vegetables in their consumption packages.

"They don't have the right management. They have been protested but there is no shame," he said.

In fact, continued Alfatah, the committee claimed to have given two warnings to consumer entrepreneurs who had problems. However, in fact, similar problems are repeated.

"We suspect that there is collusion, if it has been reprimanded and has not changed, of course, entrepreneurs should be replaced. The government loses to entrepreneurs," he said.

According to Alfatah, so far the problem of delays in consumption and the existence of stale food has been reported and protested by the Aceh, Papua, Sulawesi, and Maluku fighting contingents.

He hopes that there will be changes soon related to these problems.

"Alhamdulillah, this morning consumption has arrived well and not too late, later we will see it day and night, hopefully there will be changes," he said.

Previously, the PB PON XXI Aceh-North PON Consumption Division in the Aceh region stated that the delay in consumption services was also due because they had to serve athletes or contingents who had not yet arrived.

"This is the cause of delays and maybe no one is served, because they have not entered the service period," said Head of PB PON Consumption for the Aceh region, Diaz Furqan, at a press conference in Banda Aceh, Thursday.

Diaz explained that the delay in consumption actually occurred on September 7-8 when the athletes peaked in Aceh to take part in the XXI Aceh-North PON opening ceremony.

He said that the contingent should order consumption needs within 1 x 24 hours, and that was in accordance with the agreement during the last DRM and CDM meeting.

Then, according to the agreement as well, that the contingent can be served from three days before the match until two days after the activity is complete.

"Why was it that time served specifically for athletes who were already in Banda Aceh, because they had arrived three days before the match period," he said.
