PSSI Press And APPI Collaboration To Hold The Best Footballer League 1 Award

JAKARTA - Liga 1 competition for the 2024/2025 season has started on August 9, 2024. In order to enliven Indonesia's highest football competition, PSSI Pers and the Indonesian Professional Footballers Association (APPI) collaborated to hold a monthly footballer award. This program is titled PSSI Pers-APPI Indonesia 11.

APPI CEO, M. Hardika Aji, explained that there are three award categories to be made per month, namely Best Footballer of the Month, Best 11, and Favorite Footballer Fans.

In the Best Footballer category, PSSI Pers' Research and Development Division (Litbang) will prepare five nominations. The five nominations will then be submitted to the 18 captain of the 2024/2025 Liga 1 team for a vote.

"The most chosen players the captain will come out as Best Footballer that month," said Aji.

The other two categories also involve the PSSI Pers Research and Development Division. The PSSI Pers R&D Division will also determine the winners of Best 11.

"Then, for the Favorite Footballer Fans category, the voting will involve netizens on social media. They will choose their favorite players through the appi-online.com/polls website," said Aji again.

The chairman of PSSI Pers, Taufiq Ardyansyah, added that the PSSI Pers-APPI Indonesia 11 program will start rolling this month. As a first step, PSSI Pers-APPI Indonesia 11 has released five League 1 footballers who are nominated for the August edition of Best Player.

The five players are Stefano Lilipaly (Borneo FC Samarinda), Igor Rodrigues (Persita Tangerang), Ciro Alves (Persib Bandung), Maciej Gajos (Persija Jakarta), and Nermin Haljeta (PSM Makassar).

Lilipaly was nominated for recording one goal and three assists during August 2024.

Then, Igor made three clean-sheets in three matches throughout August 2024.

Next, Ciro scored one goal and four assists in the first three matches of Liga 1 2024/2025.

"For Gajos, his name has been nominated for making two assists throughout August 2024. Finally, Haljeta scored four goals in three August 2024 matches," said Taufiq.

Taufiq hopes that this program will make Liga 1 2024/2025 more interesting.
