Takraw Gorongtalo Football Coach Dies While Accompanying Athletes Competing At PON Aceh

ACEH - The coach of takrow from Gorontalalo, Harsono A Taha, who is familiarly called Herson Taha, while accompanying Biah's children to compete in PON XXI Aceh-Sumut, is suspected of having acute kidney disease.

"The people and the East Aceh Regency Government expressed their condolences for the death of Herson Taha, the coach of Kapak Gorontalo, while in medical treatment at the Zubir Mahmud Regional General Hospital," said East Aceh Regency Government Spokesperson Muntasir Ramli in East Aceh, Saturday.

He said that not only the people and the East Aceh Regency Government and the people of Gorontalo Province felt lost, but also all Indonesian people, especially the people of the field of sports.

"The deceased in a sick condition also took the time to accompany his team to compete and won the gold medal in the men's quadrant number," said Muntasir Ramli.

Meanwhile, the Health Person in Charge of the Takraw Sports Branch of PON XXI Aceh-North Aceh Region Munawwir said patient Herson Taha died in medical treatment at the Zubir Mahmud Regional General Hospital (RSUDZM) East Aceh on Saturday (14/9) at 04.09 WIB due to chronic kidney failure.

"Patients entering RSUDZM on Friday (6/9) were in a state of diarrhea and hot body temperature. The patient was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday (11/9). The deceased was discharged from the hospital to accompany his team to compete," he said.

Then, said Munawwir who is also a surgeon at the East Aceh RSUDZM, the patient returned to the hospital in a state of shortness of breath and swollen legs.

From the results of the medical examination, the patient experienced acute kidney failure and high gout. Then, the patient is advised to be referred to a hospital in Medan. While waiting to be taken to Medan, the patient is in critical condition

Before passing away, the patient had undergone dialysis. After dialysis, the patient was taken to the ICU. The patient died in the room accompanied by the family of the deceased and several specialist doctors

"The body of the deceased has been dispatched to Kuala Namu Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. A doctor from RSUDZM also accompanied the return of the deceased's body to the funeral home in Gorontalo," said Munawwir.
