Liga 1 2024/2025 Results: Surprisingly, PSBS Biak Rolls Persija Jakarta 3-1

JAKARTA - A brilliant result was achieved by PSBS Biak in the fourth week of Liga 1 2024/2025. Entertaining Persija Jakarta, the debutant team made a surprising result with a 3-1 victory over the Kemayoran Tigers.

The meeting of the two teams took place at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, WIB night. PSBS, who hosted the event, seemed to have fierce resistance against their guests, who incidentally were the top team.

Beto Goncalves managed to threaten the goal of the Kemayoran Tigers when the match had only been running for three minutes. However, this effort was successfully thwarted by Persija goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo.

Beto again had another chance three minutes later through his collaboration with Marckho Sandy. Unfortunately, the ball was blocked by Ferarri.

In the ninth minute, PSBS players again managed to push into Persija's defense. This time Matsunaga threatened with a long-range shot.

However, the Japanese player's shot was still wide of the Kemayoran Tigers' goal.

The PSBS players repeatedly bombarded the Persija defense area. This view is of course very different from the previous matches.

The Pacific Storm team finally took the lead through Julian Velazquez's header in the 33rd minute, who successfully took advantage of Todd Ferre's corner. The score changed 1-0 for PSBS.

In the remaining time of the first half, Persija did not want to lose the moment to equalize points. Carlos Pena's team then managed to equalize the score 1-1 through Hanif Sjahbandi's low shot in the 45+2 minute. The result lasted until the break.

In the second half, right in the 60th minute, Persija had a golden opportunity that could put them ahead of the hosts. However, the ball was successfully secured by PSBS goalkeeper.

Likewise, when Witan dribbled towards PSBS goal and offered a pass to Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu's shot was still wide of John Pigai's goal.

Gustavo Almeida should have been able to put Persija ahead in the 65th minute. However, he failed to meet the bait in front of Pigai's goal.

Instead of defeating the promotion team, Persija's goal conceded again in the 72nd minute when Julian Valazquez again managed to head home a corner. PSBS surprisingly won 2-1 over the Kemayoran Tigers.

The lagging condition made Persija attack out. Riko tried to build an attack five minutes later, but Witan Sulaeman failed to take advantage of the ball that Riko offered.

Persija had a golden opportunity from the dead ball position in the 84th minute. However, Maciej Gajos failed to get his free kick which Pigai managed to catch well.

Insufficient two goals, PSBSbuhu again won one more goal, this time right at the end of normal time. Syahrian Abimanyu's mistake made the ball slide into the net itself.

PSBS also won 3-1. The score closed the match and Persija failed to get points in the away party.
