Marriage Gold Medal, Perbasi Jakarta Achieves Achievement And Inspires

JAKARTA - Pride has soared for the people of Jakarta basketball. After a long time, the Jakarta men's and women's basketball teams managed to win the 5on5 gold medal at the National Sports Week (PON).

At PON XXI 2024 which took place in Aceh, the Jakarta men's and women's basketball teams won gold medals after overthrowing East Java on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

The men's team managed to maintain achievements in PON 2020 Papua, while the women's team broke eggs after winning the gold medal in the last two decades.

The head of Perbasi Jakarta, Lexyndo Hakim, thanked and thanked the players who had fought their best in the 2024 PON.

Their struggle for two years of training camp was completely paid off with proud achievements.

"This victory is the answer to the hard work, cooperation, and cooperation of all of us," said Lexyndo.

History was created for the women's team because the last time the gold medal was won occurred two decades ago. Meanwhile, for the men's team, it is also the first time in history to win a gold medal in a row at PON.

Lexy gave high appreciation for the male team coach, Tondi Radja Syailendra, who brought Jakarta to win the gold medal in a row. Then, the coach of the women's team, Abrizalt Hashiholan, also recorded the same achievement because at the 2020 PON Papua, he was Tondi's assistant.

Abrizalt became the first coach of the Jakarta women's team to win a gold medal again after the last time in the 2004 PON.

The achievements that have been made by the 5on5 men's and women's team are not just achievements, but must inspire the next generation.

"As I always say that Jakarta athletes will depart as winners not only to compete, but more than that. Jakarta athletes must inspire. Thank God, it's real and happening," said Lexy.

"You 24 people are Jakarta gold individuals who are present at the golden generation. Thank you once again to you Jakarta basketball heroes for the inspiration and achievements that you have achieved."

The Jakarta men's team won the gold medal after defeating East Java with a score of 62-57. Then, the women's team won after overthrowing East Java with a score of 77-56.

Perbasi Jakarta's struggle has not ended because there are still 3x3 men's and women's teams that will compete in the 2024 PON on September 16, 2024. In this number, Perbasi Jakarta also targets gold medal marriages.

"After this, we also ask for prayers and support for the men's and women's 3x3 team. Hopefully, the achievements that have been achieved by the 5on5 team will be additional motivation so that the gold medal can be cleared," said Lexy.
