The Persib Bandung Attacker Is Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - There are soccer players who play in the Indonesian League who are exposed to the corona virus or COVID-19. He is the mainstay of Persib Bandung, Wander Luiz.

Persib on Friday 27 March evening made a statement that one of its players was positive for COVID-19. And Wander Luiz confessed on his social media accounts that he was the Maung Bandung team player who was positively infected by the virus.

"Hello bobotoh. So I got my corona test back and the results are positive. But I feel fine, there are no symptoms. I am also following the guidelines, I have isolated myself and so I hope everyone is well," said Wander Luiz.

"I would like to thank everyone at Persib and the medical team for the testing process and support. Please be careful and stay healthy. Hopefully everything will be fine and I can start playing football again," continued the Brazilian.

For your information, it seems that Wander Luiz had left Bandung some time ago. At that time, Wander Luiz decided to go on vacation to Bali, an area that is fairly prone to transmission of the corona virus.

In the club's official statement delivered by the Managing Director of Persib, Glenn Sugita, it was announced that the players and other Persib officials would carry out quarantine at home in accordance with existing health protocols.

Persib has also carried out thorough cleaning with disinfectants in the players' dormitories and offices, including shops, cafes and radios. Meanwhile, Persib's regular training schedule will also be postponed until the independent isolation is completed.
