JAKARTA - Arsenal inaugurated Raheem Sterling's arrival on loan from Chelsea in the final minutes of closing the summer transfer market.
The Gunners borrowed Sterling for the next season after the forward was not needed by Chelsea's new manager, Enzo Maresca.
Sterling arrived at Arsenal headquarters, London Colney, to undergo a medical examination just before the deadline of 11 p.m. (August 30, 2024).
He brought a transfer agreement to confirm that the two clubs had agreed.
Sterling has spent the night negotiating with Chelsea on how much to pay from his deal of 325,0000 per week which is still valid for three years.

Previously, Sterling's chances of joining Arsenal appeared to be only small, around 10 percent.
However, at a press conference before the match against Brighton, manager Mikel Arteta was asked if Sterling would join.
"You know that I can't talk about other players," Arteta said at the time.
Now, the 29-year-old is reunited with Arteta after working together while at Manchester City.
Moving to Arsenal was good luck for Sterling. You see, his career didn't die after being thrown away by the Blues.
In a video upload on his social media, Sterling shows his enthusiasm to contribute optimally to Arsenal, especially since he is back under Arteta's tutelage.
"You will see my best side. It feels great. It's really exciting. I'm excited."
"This is a moment where we were a bit late, but that's what I expected. Seeing everything. I feel this is very suitable for me. I'm very happy we made it."
"I spoke with (Arsenal Sports Director) Edu. You can see real togetherness with Mikel here. You see the journey the players are taking."
"You can see hunger. I keep saying again, togetherness is something I want to follow," Sterling said.
Sterling has made 81 appearances for Chelsea and scored 19 goals since joining Manchester City for 50 million in 2022.
He scored eight goals and four assists for Chelsea in the Premier League last season under Mauricio Pochettino.
Throughout his career for the Blues, Manchester City, and Liverpool, Sterling has scored 123 goals and 62 assists in 379 Premier League games.
Sterling was the second player Arsenal recruited on the final day of the transfer market after previously announcing the arrival of Brazil goalkeeper Neto from Bournemouth on the same day.
Neto also arrived in Emirates on loan for one season.
The two joined Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino who were recruited by Arsenal this summer.
Arsenal need more attacking players after releasing some.
As is known, the Gunners have released Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham with an agreement worth 34 million pounds. Meanwhile Fabio Vieira returned to Porto on loan for a season.
Hale End Academy graduate Eddie Nketiah was confirmed to be a Crystal Palace player less than 30 minutes before the transfer deadline.
Nketiah's move to Palace was worth 25 million pounds plus 5 million pounds as a bonus.
Nketiah is not the only academy graduate to move on the transfer deadline. There is the name Reiss Nelson joining Fulham on loan for one season after his move to Ipswich Town failed.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale moved to Southampton which was just introduced on the last day of closing the transfer with a value of up to 25 million pounds.
