The Jakmania's Tough Steps To Choose Ridwan Kamil In The Jakarta Pilkada?

JAKARTA - The political atmosphere in Jakarta is warming as the governor election in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will be held. One of the most striking concerns is the emergence of Ridwan Kamil's name as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta.

This political situation also invited various reactions from The Jakmania, which is a supporter of a club from Jakarta, Persija.

Various responses emerged in line with Ridwan Kamil's nomination plan as Governor of Jakarta. You see, the presence of Kang Emil, his nickname, in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada intersects with The Jakmania.

So far, it is known that Ridwan Kamil is a resident of Bandung and a Bobotoh, a supporter of Persib Bandung who has strong rivalry with Persija Jakarta supporters.

Adi Wijaya, The Jakmania, who lives in South Jakarta and has the right to vote for the 2024 Jakarta Regional Election, said that his heart was quite heavy if Ridwan Kamil led Jakarta, especially when he mentioned Persija and The Jakmania.

"If he (Ridwan Kamil) leads Jakarta, from my point of view as The Jakmania, it feels less convincing," Adi Wijaya told VOI.id.

The statement was not without reason. If he withdraws, Ridwan Kamil was excited among Persija supporters when posing eccentrically with the faces of the Kemayoran Tiger players who were considered offensive.

Shifting to another point of view, Hendro Komarul who is also The Jakmania said that Ridwan Kamil would focus more on politics if he led Jakarta.

Ridwan Kamil is felt that he will not intersect much with Persija Jakarta or The Jakmania considering that he is from Bandung and a Bobotoh.

"It will not, really (focus on building Persija as well as The Jakmania). Moreover, we know he is a Bobotoh from Bandung. In Jakarta, yes, maybe he just focuses on politics. At the beginning, he sought attention by bringing Persija and The Jakmania," said Hendro.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of The Jakmania, Diky Soemarno, tried to cool the situation. Through a tweet on his personal social media X, Dicky said that Jakarta is an area that has a high democracy.

In addition, he also emphasized that The Jakmania could be an example of diversity. The ethnic side does not limit a Jakmania love Persija.

"Jakarta is a city with a high democracy. In fact, if you want to see Pancasila and the concept of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, look at Jakmania," Diky said in his tweet quoted on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

"Heterogeneous jukmania, love is not based on ethnicity, but Persija is the node of unity," he wrote.

The response of some of The Jakmania cannot be a conclusion. However, Ridwan Kamil's digital footprint on X made him a blunder.

About 12 years of tofu, Kang Emil openly mocked the citizens of Jakarta in general with his tweets.

"Tengil, gaul, glamor, songong, stingy, prestigious, selfish, hard-working, resilient, showing off, hedon. That's the character of JKT people," he tweeted.

Jakarta residents also seemed to have flooded the comments column on Ridwan Kamil's Instagram account in a video upload when he was promoted as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Not a few mentioned the tweet that mocked the residents of Jakarta. There are also those who connect it with The Jakmania and Bobotoh rivals.
