Indonesia U-17 Gets Securities To Appear In The 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification

Indonesia U-17 narrowly lost to India U-17 in the second test match (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team lost in the second test match against India U-17. However, this is a valuable lesson for Nova Arianto's team to appear in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.

The U-17 Indonesian national team hosted India for the second time at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, WIB night. The results of the second trial meeting were not satisfactory because the Garuda Squad bowed 0-1. In fact, at the inaugural meeting Nova Arianto's team won 3-1.

Nova Arianto as the coach was not disappointed in this defeat. Instead, he admitted that he learned valuable lessons as a provision to appear in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.

One of the tactics that can be learned from the match against India is the compact defense which keeps the team solid while defending.

According to the coach, this tactic is needed when dealing with other teams with a higher level who will be against Indonesia in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

"We can see India performing well. India is doing a compact defense tactic. How do we open the compact defense, that's what makes us have to learn a lot," Nova Arianto said in his statement after the match, quoted on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

In the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification, the U-17 Indonesian national team joined Group G with Australia, North Mariana Islands, and Kuwait.

Seeing the potential opponent, my son, Nova Arianto, clearly has to have a solid defensive strategy to be able to bag a victory.

In preparation for further preparations, after undergoing two trials and training camps in Bali, the U-17 Indonesian national team will fly to Spain and Qatar to undergo a follow-up training camp.

This agenda is the final preparation for Garuda Muda ahead of facing the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification on 23-27 October 2024 in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Indonesia U-17 is eyeing tickets for the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup final which will take place on April 3-20, 2025 in Saudi Arabia.
