Dutch GP F1 Results: Lando Norris Smokes Max Verstappen In A Race At The Zandvoort Circuit

JAKARTA - McLaren's Lando Norris beat leader of the table this season, Max Verstappen (Red Bull) in his home race, the Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort Circuit, Sunday.

Norris became the fastest after winning 22.896 seconds from the three-time world champion. In addition to perfecting the weekend, this result also breaks Verstappen's dominance in Zandvoort, which has collected three major racing wins in a row.

It feels very fun, said Norris after winning the race with a total of 72 laps.

The British racer started the Dutch Grand Prix from pole position, but Verstappen quickly took over the position on the fourth lap, with a lead of 1.356 seconds.

It didn't take long for Norris to refocus and fight for the forefront. He continued to put pressure in the middle of the race.

The exciting battle also graced the last podium fight, with Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Oscar Piastri (McLaren), and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) competing fiercely.

Leclerc also managed to finish in third place with a margin of 25.439 seconds from Norris, or just 2.543 seconds from Verstappen.

The top 10 Dutch GP list this time is equipped with Piastri, Sainz, Sergio Perez (Red Bull), George Russell and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin).

Meanwhile, Norris further reduced his distance with Verstappen in the standings by 70 points. Meanwhile Leclerc is in third place in the current drivers' standings.

The next 2024 Formula 1 round is the Italian Grand Prix which will take place at the Monza Circuit on 30-31 August and 1 September.
