Jens Raven And Welfer Jardim Are Not On The U-20 Indonesian National Team Call List

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, called on 32 players to attend training camps (TC) in Jakarta and South Korea. However, from the list of names, there were no two descendants, Jens Raven and Welber Jardim.

As is known, TC in Jakarta will start on August 11 to 18, 2024. After that, the team continued with TC to South Korea until September 2, 2024.

This agenda is a preparation for Indonesia U-20 ahead of its appearance in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification on September 21-19 2024, which is Indonesia's host.

At the event, Indonesia entered Group F along with Yemen, Timor Leste, and the Maldives.

For the TC agenda this time, Indra Sjafri explained that the players who were brought in were a combination of the names who appeared in the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup and participated in the previous TC.

"These players are a combination of players who play in the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup plus several players who have participated in the TC before the AFF starts," said Indra Sjafri, quoted on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Although he did not explain the reasons for not bringing Ravens and Welfer, Indra Sjafri said there would be additional names.

He also emphasized that the TC agenda will be utilized as much as possible in order to perform well in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

"I said, in the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup we used it as an intermediate target for the team's determination and maturation."

"At this TC we will prepare even better ahead of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification with several other additional players," said the coach.
