Fabio Carvalho, who was outstanding in pre-season, had to be willing to leave Liverpool for Brentford after the Reds received a proposal worth 27.5 million pounds.

The former young Fulham star was loaned to RB Leipzig and Hull City with various successes last season. Failed to perform brilliantly in Germany before performing impressively with The Tigers in the Championship.

Entering preparations for the 2024-2025 season, Carvalho proved his worth to Arne Slot as one of the stars in pre-season Liverpool, taking advantage of Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, and Diogo Jota's absence.

During the Reds tour in the US, Carvalho scored in Liverpool's win over Arsenal and Manchester United. However, the 21-year-old still did not get a guarantee of a main place from Arne Slot, especially if Jota, Gakpo and Diaz rejoined the team.

This was then tried by Brentford to get close to Carvalho. Reported by sportsmole, Liverpool's 27.5 million offer made the Portuguese player immediately undergo a medical test with Thomas Frank's team.

Although the duration of the contract with The Bees is not yet known, it is estimated that Carvalho will sign a long-term contract at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Carvalho will leave Liverpool after only appearing in 21 competitive games for the Reds, all of which took place on his debut in the 2022-2023 season, where he scored three goals in all competitions.

For Brentford himself, Fabio Carvalho will be the second signing this summer after Igor Thiago, who picked up a serious knee injury in pre-season. The Bees is also rumored to be getting a loanee from Napoli, Jens Cajuste soon.
